The Naturalist's Notebook

One of our all-time fave ways to observe nature and easily document memorable moments. Here at the Heritage Bee Co, we have been using this observation guide by Bernd Heinrich & Nathaniel Wheelwright for two years. The last five images are from our coffee-stained Notebook, including one of our entries.
We use a separate tracking system for our bees. However, we think this is a brilliant way to track blooms, bees, butterflies, weather patterns and other wildlife/nature happenings. Also ideal for a backyard beekeeper! It allows us to understand the seasons' patterns, ebbs and flows over five years.
